Looking at v10 with everything God is still merciful he wants to punish them but his not destroying them completely. All he just want from us is for us to be faithful to him in all ways because some people will say they're of the Lord but not faithful to him. Does it mean if you're a Christian you're a believer, worship, follower and doer or God's word. What does it take to be a believer, worshipper, doer and faithful?

I think this Chapter tells us the kind of person Jeremiah was before GOD spoke to Him; he was righteous, and doing GOD’s will….. that being said, imagine GOD again saying here like it was said to Abraham in Genesis 18 “if you can find a man, I will pardon the whole nation” — this shows we should not be afraid to be different, to be that outlier, we don’t have to do what they do (this is just speaking to me 🥺) will you be that man/woman in your family? In your community? If GOD can find a man 🥺 We should be careful of what we ask for something, GOD already said it in Deuteronomy that it is when they are full that they will sin against Him, and it was proven right! GOD knows what we will do when we get most of what we pray for; maybe that’s why it’s delaying so we can grow and build capacity to handle them. GOD was telling them in Vs.22 that “Do you know not have the consciousness of ME ? When you see the sea not moving beyond its limit, what do you think of ? PD was saying if we are to fornicate and almost at it and the lady say “I have HIV oooo” we won’t dare try it, we will control ourselves because of the consciousness of that virus 🦠 but most have lost the consciousness that they are married to GOD, that He lives inside us, so we misbehave. Some peoples GOD lives in the church building so they are only holy in the church, once they step out 😂 we know the rest I pray GOD help us to be to love Him and bring others to that love ❤️ may we never outgrow the consciousness of GOD in us.

It’s interesting because I am reading Exodus also and you can compare Israel as a new nation to the Israel and Judah during Jeremiah’s time. Not much has changed honestly, still the same rebellious group, refusing to belief or trust God. The only thing that has changed is that God will now judge them as he has given them chances over and over again.

Vs 3: Despite being disciplined by God, the people refused to return to Him, making their faces "harder than rock". This is a total lack of repentance. Vs 10& 18: Amidst destruction, God promises not to make a "complete end." He will prune the nation rather than destroying the root, just to ensure a remnant remains. What a merciful God!
