Do we all remember Deuteronomy 28 where Moses gave blessings and curses of the covenant? I remembered saying then that mostly, people focus on blessings but pay little to no attention to the curses. Now they’ve enjoyed the blessings so much that they’ve drifted away from the binding instructions of the covenant “Obedience to GOD” vs23&24 of Deut 28 says “And the heavens over your head shall be bronze, and the earth under you shall be iron. The Lord will make the rain of your land powder. From heaven dust shall come down on you until you are destroyed.” — this was their current stage and that curse reach Vs.68 🙆🏾♂️ —— This is for people postponing their walk with GOD, don’t say I will enjoy sin today and repent tomorrow, don’t say I will stay with devil now and collect from him then run to GOD later (this was popular in 2020/2021, people will go to babalawo for help and run later to church) tomorrow might be too late ⏰
Sometimes people are the reason prophets deceived them, they are like King Ahab in 1 kings 22, all they want to hear is positive even when they know their actions are negative, they want a church that tells them pastors are eating your money, don’t pay tithe, churches where you will wear nonsense and pastor won’t say anything because they’re celebrity, churches that will validate their contradictions, then they will say “preach papa” — the prophets told Judah despite their disobedience to GOD that all is well, they won’t experience those curses regardless 🤦🏾♂️ they were happy because it satisfied their evil self and brings no rebuke. —— Again, and again, we keep seeing the importance of having personal relationship with GOD, if they had read the Torah and realized the prophecy and what GOD said in Deut. does not match, they will ask GOD and make amends.

We cannot overemphasize having genuine relationship with God.

Speaking on the false prophets giving prophecy that is contradictory to what God has said. This is a reminder for us to know that not all good things are from God, but everything not God is good. Don't be easily receive, don't thing because the benefit of this thing is much it's from God. The devil has strategy as well, he's now more refined that he will imitate things and that is where our discernment comes in. We seek to know what God really want, we give all to him and not seek for comfort at all time.
