This short chapter is full of wisdom. First, what is see here is Leadership which is literally the ability to influence people and one key skill a leader should have is Delegation. Imagine the Apostles trying to preach and also serve food, we might not have the gospel today or imagine Jesus not choosing the 12, then upgrading to seventy and then 120, we might not have this gospel today. Imagine scripture even teaching us about leadership, this is a Complete book. The question would be why would the Apostle require Full of Holy Spirit to serve table ? Is good reputation and wisdom not enough ? Hallelujah, good reputation and wisdom is susceptible to corruption without the Holy Spirit (Ananias and Sapphira as good example)…. Another reason why Christians should get involve in politics, leaderships, and other key political activities as good reputation is not enough to serve tables, we need leaders filled with Holy Spirit……. Infact what just happened here is election 🗳️ and without influence, the people came to a consensus about the 7 men.

Wait! Vs 5 said “And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit” - fast forward to Vs 8. “And Stephen, full of faith and power”. This is a confirmation of Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you” - but what happened here, how was he able to refine his potential (Holy Spirit) to power. My believe is -Stephen was faithful in little, so GOD gave him more (Luke 16:10). Can we imagine someone who’s already filled with the Holy Spirit and possibly doing small teachings within his people being called to serve food! He should have protested that -No, I can use my anointing to serve food, I am a big man with the Holy Spirit but he accepted the responsibility and did it with honor and pride then GOD refined the deposit in Him, gave him more (power). Many of us are aspiring for something big that we neglect the small ones which was appointed as stepping stones forgetting GOD is in every step, every detail. Another thing here is when we picked up our cross to follow Jesus, the devil will arise through people to stop us because we are a threat to his kingdom, the point is Knowing what and who you stand for. - they saw his face as the face of an Angel, must be nice 😊 The story is so inspiring that I read chapter 7 already but I’ll read again tomorrow 🤭 GOD is GOOD.

Instructions are very important and they are to be followed. Imagine the people after being given instruction to pick spirit filled people, and of wisdom had not obeyed, I don’t know why would have happened sha. But they followed instruction and they were prayed for. PD said something randomly one time he said you are trusting for a life partner and you as a believer you know what to look it of and you now come to him he will not waste time too. He will just pray for you and bless you and that marriage must work by fire by force😅😅😅😅. So basically what I’m saying is following instructions that were are being given is Key, don’t try to make up your own instructions because they will eventually fail. Every decision needs pray and instruction.
