This Ananias and Sapphira story is so sad. In Acts 2, the Bible recorded people sold their possessions and shared it among those who need, it doesn’t say all their possessions or some part of it which shows they were not forced to it, it’s the move of the Spirit (things will change in us after baptism of the Holy Spirit) but a certain man in the last verse of Acts 4 Joses named Barnabas sold his land and brought all the money to the church (I was wondering why that event was recorded yesterday but I see now), Barnabas was probably led to do that and was praised for it but Ananias and his wife also with the spirit of competition, I want to shine ✨, I want to be seen, tried to copy him - the devil used that part of him that is yet to die to push him into sinning. The problem is not keeping part of the money, and that’s why Peter said “while it remained, was it not your own? After it was sold, was it not your control ? So the problem was their motive behind doing what they did and that led them to lie. This was the beginning of the Church so GOD was setting standards. The question is, what part of me and you that is left to die, that we are not letting go, that the enemy might exploit to make us fall ? I pray the Lord prune and purge us of them in Jesus name. Note: Jesus looks at the heart, the motive not what you bring, we bring our money to man while we bring our heart to GOD. So what is your motive or what is the state of your heart?

People getting healed by Peter’s shadow shows how merciful our GOD, someone that denied Jesus is now preaching Him and doing wonders! The problem is not sinning, what do you after sinning ? Continue in sin or repent and come to Jesus?!. The Apostles and those with them were filled with Holy Spirit but high priest and those with him were filled with indignation…. There’s high chance we look like those we walk with and look up to, they will influence us one way or the other. Again, who are you with or who is with you ? That’s why we can’t marry an unbeliever (for the singles here) The Angel freeing Peter and saying “speak to the people, all the words of this life” shows they were never alone, Heaven is seeing how they were being treated. Now imagine they were arrested for fornication or breaking the law, will any Angel come and save them ? Hmmmmmm, we need alignment. Let’s note 📝 that, The Holy Spirit is given to those who obey Jesus, the more we yield, the more we are filled. From Gamaliel’s advice, I see that if it’s GOD that’s sending us somewhere or asking us to do something, we cannot fail, nothing can stop us but if it’s in our own accord, success is not guaranteed….. The Apostles were rejoicing because they had the KNOWING in Matthew 5:11, Jesus already said Blessed are those persecuted for His sake, their reward is in heaven. Hallelujah

I was reading through here and the power of unity stood out although they used it negatively A and S has the same value, the value to steal and lie. Can 2 walk together unless they agree?? In every relationship we are in friendship etc, it’s very important that you and your friends have same value. The devil will manipulate you and you will become a victim, something that you rightfully owned. If they had not bring anything I’m pretty sure nothing will happen to them but the fact that you are already dedicated to it, don’t leave anything out. Same way when we come to God we surrender everything to him, all our life by letting him take total control, don’t leave out any of your life. The Faith exercised by the people another thing that should be noted. The only said at least Peter’s shadow would heal and it happened.. Faith requires action, you don’t have faith by being on the same spot, you take personal responsibility, moveeeee.

Another thing here is that in every situation God is with you and he can even raise help for you among your enemies The guy that spoke for them, I believe it was the God that used him,Holy Spirit that took over him. Another thing is God is a loving Father, Even tho they(Sanhedrin) don’t believe in God, he was still very mindful of them, he did not want them to perish, so he sued someone among them to save them, it had to be among them that way they would believe, if it was someone outside that had said that thing they would never believe him.

Vs 41 stood out for me. See what they did after all the trouble!!! Chai!!! This things are sweet to read but let’s ask ourselves how many things have we suffered for the gospel.
