Of all I read in this chapter; one thing that stood out to me was Paul being in tuned to hear from God🤔 and him not displaying pride when God changed what He said; first he said there will be loss of lives, even though they didn’t listen to him and then next he said everyone will be safe and his commitment staying without food.
Then my thoughts border around how in tuned am I to the Holy Spirit! Through out my day and night, how do I stay alive and not distant from the instructions of My Maker?
And that brings me to the question of how can I stay in tuned to the frequency of the Spirit throughout my day?

@Mary the answer I got for this is “By Listening” sounds simple but then I remembered Elihu words in Job 33:14 “For GOD may speak in one way or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.” Sometimes we define how GOD should speak to us - we want a sound like the one for Moses in the wilderness. @Mary do you realized Paul perceived? It was perception and most time we received that when we say “something tells me” but we don’t listen because we want it to come in a complex way…. You guyz might not agree but even when we are walking in the flesh, sinning or about to sin, the Holy Spirit is still there talking, saying DON’T. The spirit does not only operates when we are holy. In Genesis 1:2 “the Spirit hover over the face of the water while it was dark” so the Spirit move from Darkness to light. However, we must now continue to live in the Spirit (away from the flesh) to fully develop, activates other gifts that comes along, manifest in big ways and all, Heaven will not trust us with big commission if we keep falling and rising.

This Chapter was well written, Luke left no details out. I keep saying it, there should be a clear difference between believers and nonbelievers, when they are confused, we know what to do, when evil is about to happen and they don’t know, we know; regardless of their degree and profession, we know what they don’t know because their knowledge is bound in time but we have the ancient one, the one who was, who is and is to come, we have access to a realm that is timeless, we can receive download from the 1800’s and also from 2070, Noah was building an ark for what was going to happen in the next 120years, Moses talked about Jesus that was going to come in a long years later, Paul saw what was going to happen in thousands of years to come, Jesus told us about what is happening now, and so many more.
We have the Holy Spirit, they don’t, we have a new identity, they don’t, so there should be a clear difference. They were depending on the pilot and the current situation but there is one locked up in Paul’s earthen vessel that brings who calleth those things which be not as though they were there……… when everybody was panicking, Paul would be just be relaxing ☺️……… A friend called me yesterday and said why I’m I not bothered with all these policies and green card issue, I laughed and couldn’t find a direct answer to give him so I sent Philippians 4:6-7 to him; the peace of GOD that surpasses all understanding will guide our mind and heart when we know we can’t with worry add ounce to our stature, when we know we have someone greater, when we already received instructions on what to come…. Hallelujah 🤭

@Eyitope Real, when we have God you have nothing to worry about, let go and let God carry all the burdens for you.
One thing that we should be doing as a believer is to be conscious of who we are, like @Eyitope said there should be a difference between us. Apostle Paul was very conscious of his identity he know what he have, he's not confused at all. He said no life will be lost as long as I am on this ship. Kia that struck something in me, can we also come to that point of saying because I am here nothing will die, nothing shall be missing.
Na that relaxation sure me pass. Because from everything he was saying it was not from a place of doubt, he was so confident, he was not guessing he was telling them what will happen.
Sometimes Its not by experience or what you are good at, it requires the power of God which is at work in you
Although the captains were experience but they could not even predict what will happen to them, that to some point they were scared and about to run away. So I realized that true safety is of the lord, if we can hear him, trust and obey him.

Do we realized they didn’t die because Paul was with them? They were encouraged because Paul was with them, somehow they had knowledge of what was going to happened because Paul was with them and he told them!. This is the manifestation this chapter is encouraging us to walk in this year, that our neighbors, our friends, families will not be afflicted because they know us, that nothing will pass us by without us knowing, that we won’t be surprised because we’ve seen it already, that people will be saved just because we are there with them, the secrets our kids are keeping from us was revealed even before it happened, that the supernatural is our natural, we are the one calming people down not panicking with them. Brethren WE ARE NOT CONFUSED, WE RECEIVE THE DIRECTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, WE KNOW WHAT TO DO….. until these, we can’t be an effective witness, this is a charge to work in that realization, we have the same Spirit as Apostle Paul, Jesus gave us the authority to do more than He did, so let’s not limit ourselves.
