Reading this chapter, I had an encounter! I was wondering why through the Holy Spirit, the disciples in Tyre told Paul not to go to Jerusalem, then in Philip’s house, Agabus came all the way from Judea to kind of show what will happened to Paul in Jerusalem therefore persuading him not to go…… I asked the Holy Spirit since it’s the same Spirit in us now, how come He told Paul to go then now sending people to him that he should not go ? Was Paul stubborn and wrong for going ? Initially I had skimmed through chapter 22 to complete Paul speech but the Holy Spirit then showed me 23 then i perceived my answer to be in Chapter 23- reading that, I saw GOD was with Paul so he was meant to be in Jerusalem! (Not wrong for going) But the next question is, why do the same Spirit in others tell him not to go ? The response I got was, they were only showed what will happened to Paul in Jerusalem, the fear of the vision made them concluded that he should not go, but Paul himself having the same Spirit said in Chapter 20 Vs 22 that he has been bound by the Holy Spirit to go to Jerusalem…. My point is, WE MUST HEAR GOD FOR OURSELVES! We can’t depend on pastors or prophets to speak for GOD to us, imagine if Paul did not have Holy Spirit in him, they would have ignorantly diverted his destiny…. Again, if GOD tells your pastor, He can tell you too.

@Eyitope True In fact thisnessbthe same question I was asking the Holy Spirit spirit too But the Holy Spirit is one why dontiu have to tell some people something and another person another thing?? But guess what it was the same thing he showed them it was just different interpretations they had remember in chapter 20 or so where he was giving Farewell he said he is being compelled bybtgr Spirit to go to Jerusalem not knowing what will happen to him there but he said ke knees that in every city Prison and Hardship awaits him. At this point what matter to Paul was Jesus to be seen, he has wasted so much time and he's all in. God or nothing. That his life does not matter to him any longer. They all saw correctly but fear made them interpret it the way they did, they were scared of losing Paul. We could all tell with what we have read so far that Paul was a good resources to the body of Christ for them to lose him that soon. And what you said about knowing God and heating him personally it is very important. That someone will say something to you and you will be able to tell them that is not what God told me, he did not say that to me, this is what he is saying about me. And i pray that God will help us tonuage REAL relationship with him in Jesus name.

@Eyitope You are right. That was the same answer I got from the podcast I listened to when I read this part some weeks back.

I was reading Psalm 127 few days ago and I saw in Vs 5 that “Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.” - the chapter was talking about children so I asked @moshood on the note “how will someone win their enemies all because they have children?” But seeing Philip with 4 daughters prophesying now gave me my response, somebody would tell me how something will happen to Philip without one or the four knowing ? - For those with children, this is a charge to point them to GOD and get them filled with the Holy Spirit, it’s never too early and to we the singles, we know what to do right ? 👍 Back to Paul, he was ready to die for the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, I pray for that encounter and revelation that nothing else will matter to us except Jesus Christ. Paul getting to Jerusalem still obeyed the elders is another part that caught my attention, he didn’t say I must suffer so I want to suffer, the instruction was go to Jerusalem, regardless he knows suffer must come but still obeyed not out of fear but out of respect! He knows when to say NO and when to say YES. I pray the LORD help us

@Eyitope they were even accusing him based on assumptions 😂 no way Paul would be sad because he has seen all these before, nothing came as surprise- Holy Spirit help me, express yourself in me, that I am not confused, nothing comes by surprise, I see and I know.

@Eyitope Absolutely He's a man of the spirit I'm very sure he will just be looking stbtyem with pitying face saying if only you know that this that you are doing does not matter to me I'm sold out. How can they shame the shameless?? No way. I decree and declare, that our eyes are open to see instructions, our ears are open to hear instructions and our heart is open to receive instructions as well.

@Eyitope When Agabus came and gave the prophecy, Paul’s reply in verse 13 stood out to me He said why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound but to also die in Jerusalem... This is alot, And I just remembered that same thing happened to Jesus when he was telling the disciples about the son of man being handed over to the enemy (it was in this same Jerusalem oo)and Peter was trying to stop it. His reply was get behind me satan!! You are not setting your heart on things of God but Man. So its possible for people to want to hinder the will of God unknowingly and they are genuine about it. Like they don't even see it that way. But the people saying the will of the lord be done was everything, they came to the realization that, it is not our will although we love you so much and we don't want to lose you, but still the will of the lord would be done.

@Eyitope Thank you for the call to action for those of us with kids. The experience of Bro Paul, is one that continues to push me to the realization of what I was meant to be.
