Vs 13 === First, Exorcist are people who cast out demonic spirits from people. In Matthew 11:24, Jesus was accused to drive out demons using the power of the Devil, but Jesus responded that a kingdom divided against itself cannot last. I feel the reason this vagabond Jews needed a spirit not of the devil is because even them know and agree that only a stronger spirit (Spirit of God) can chase out Demonic spirit

Please is there anyone here who’s not baptized with the Holy Spirit ? I mean you can’t even speak in tongues ? Please signify so we can join our faith with yours and pray the Holy Spirit baptize you. It is evident that we should be able to prophecy, cast out demons and heal the sick, I was telling @faithful not long ago that Elijah and those old prophet were longing for our days, they had the Spirit on them when they needed it for miracles but we have the Holy Spirit inside us, in Him we live, and move and have our being. I pray the Lord will help us to explore more and give room for the Holy Spirit to have expression in our lives!

First thing that stood out to me is that Paul did not discredit the baptism the people received, he only acknowledged that there is more, receiving John’s baptism which is repentance is the foundation which everyone need but there is more because John was preparing their heart for the coming one, so that they can receive him well now he’s here, the teaching is now about the birth, death and resurrection, now they should still not be preparing their heart for who is coming they should have received him. Vs 9 talked about some people being obstinate and refuse to believe and Paul left them. If some people don’t believe some people will do, and don’t me moved by people’s reaction just hold on to the word of God that says keep speaking.

Because of how Paul put into use, the name of Jesus, many were also trying to do the same even though they did not know the name but looking at it in another way, in our world nowadays, some do not even want to associate with the name Christians because of how we the so called Christians behaves! Imagine a Christian seeking help from an idol worshipper for healing, how are we supposed to preach to them ? Some of us are okay being powerless that we are afraid of idol worshippers, how are they supposed to know we carry a bigger name ? This is a challenge that people would see us and say I want to know your GOD, please show me! Let’s leave this natural for them and operate in another dimension, there is more so let’s make room for it!. The reason why the name of Jesus do not work for those sons of Sceva is because they don’t have identity in Christ, they don’t know Christ, it is not updated on the demon list who they are, hence they were overpowered! Note: They said Paul I know, meaning Paul might have not interacted with that same Spirit or might have but his name is known among them, he won’t have to stress to cast them out………. Are you feeling what I’m leaving ? Is the next demon gonna cry shege ? Hallelujah!

Speaking from verse 13 about the Jews that were trying to cast out demon in Jesus name, they don’t know it’s not by imitation, it’s not by experience, it requires knowing, real relationship. You want to take dominion, authority over someone and you don’t have power of your own, it’s only Jesus name that we know, you be able to use that name, you have to know him a lot of people forget that and they just want to have it easily. We can’t used borrowed name, I guess the borrowed name was even what vexed the demon🤣. The Bible made it clear that God has given us a name above every other name that at the mention of the name Jesus every knee must bow. Demons don’t tremble at the name of prophets, but at the name of Jesus Christ. It’s in the authority of Jesus not man. The said in the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches, they don’t even know him. And this thing happens real life sometimes this year. It was trending this year, I don’t know if any other person do the video. So this young lady was trying to cast out demon I’m just going to paraphrase the conversation between the lady and the possessed lady The lady casting out said because of the anointing upon my father I command you to get out The possessed lady replied the anointing is on you father not you I will not go out pray harder, go to the mountain, repent, pray harder and come back. The lady said again Fire all over your body, the possessed lady replied in fact I’m feeling cold right now there’s not fire anywhere. Guys this was in a church service, it was streamed, at first I thought it was a skit😂😂 but it’s not. So you cannot come out anywhere and be using the name you did not now. Imagine demon telling you to repent, haaaaa you are far.

I can’t imagine how many souls Paul and his companions won for Christ! Someone that was not even part of the 12 disciples, he didn’t even witnessed Jesus on earth but GOD called him and assigned this very task to him……. Holy Spirit is saying when you are doing what GOD called you to do, you won’t even worry about prosperity! Imagine Paul now leaving preaching all over and started building a church in a location, or maybe start doing podcast shows, or becoming a medical doctor since he can heal….. I pray we receive the leading of the Holy Spirit and we will not walk in the flesh. Like I said sometimes ago, we are all a vessel but either honor onto GOD or dishonor! We must serve a master, no one can stay aloof! I am surprised at what happened 😮 in Vs 32, some gathered and do not know why they were there! They were just going to follow the crowd and do the works of the devil. Don’t follow crowd, people many people are doing it does not auto makes it the will of GOD for us, enquirer, know the course you are following and let’s be a good leader like Paul, he was not going to leave his companions regardless but thank goodness for the disciples around him and let’s listen to instructions even from those lesser than us (no one is lesser though in this kingdom, the least would be the greatest)
