Now I see why Paul was showed many things and used mightily for the Gospel. Vs 2 says “then Paul as his custom/manner was” meaning at every opportunity, Paul wants to talk about Jesus, about salvation even when he knew it will cause problem but the few that will be saved is more important to him than anything else………… what is our custom? Some of us it is gossip, at every opportunity that we are gathered, we want to gossip to others, some it is to join them and talk about women and men. Let’s all be like brother Paul, he was not ashamed of the gospel. GOD bless brother Jason (I didn’t know it’s even a Bible name 😂). I wish many would be like the men of Berea, they received with all readiness and tried to confirm what Paul said to them daily, no pastor can deceive them, because they are ready to go back to the source and confirm but unfortunately many of us believe pastors than the Bible today, we don’t read the scripture for ourselves anymore but thank GOD for this time and this group, now we can confirm and ask questions. Those Jews from Thessalonica must be a witch 💯

@Eyitope The fact that Paul was always ever ready was something that caught my attention too, he just go and where he find himself, without a home or plan or anything. He just go about doing the work of God. Fr the people of Thessalonica are evil because why would you do such a thing. I was reading the book of 3john yesterday and the last part of it I came across a guy name Diotrophes who opposed John’s apostolic ministry. And those people are just like this guy, it’s a spirit o. You don’t believe those that want to believe you don’t want them to believe. Some systems are just there to stop anything that concerns the movement of God. I pray that may we not be such person and the may we not see people like Diotrophes in our life and even when we come across them the lord will help us to stand before them, we will not be swayed away by them.

I wonder how filled Paul must be, he never prepare and fast to talk to people, he is always ready! Imagine someone that just escaped trouble that his mind should not be settled but immediately he saw the ignorance of the Athens, his spirit was provoked and he started talking, not judging but acknowledging their ignorance and pointing them to the truth……… We also must be ever ready - sound difficult but with the Holy Spirit, it is easy. Another thing is, Paul does not argue or fight them to believe, he speaks and leave to come back another time, he allows the Holy Spirit to convict them and minister to them. I pray the Lord equips us Himself for the gospel that we are ever ready and whenever to open our mouth to speak, Holy Spirit gives us utterance.

@Eyitope Paul, is always walking in the spirit always ready to pick anything that is not in alignment and call it out. For ourselves we should be able to pick things as well l, that you will go to some place and you will know that something is not right and that you would listen to a sermon and you will be able to pick that no this is not it. I use to hear a lot that it’s not every one you can listen to, although I believed it but I have not seen it happen so I would say I still don’t believe it until it happened to me, I was like how did I get here??? then I know truly not everyone that looks good or speak good is Godly oo. Always be sensitive!! It’s very important. Another thing I saw with the Athens is the power of evangelism, we should not always assume that someone is already a Christian or they should know about God already. So basically when Paul got there and was teaching them they were surprised they said this teaching is new, very strange to us but tell us more. I was now wondering that as loud as Jesus ministry was, (I believe it was loud) there are still some people that are still very ignorant about it. So don’t hesitate to talk about God to people.
