V3 I once heard that wherever you see therefore in the Bible, something already happened before that….. So because the unbelieving Jews stirred up the gentiles and poisoned their minds, then Paul and Barnabas decided to stay longer and speak louder, I was expecting the opposite but they could not leave knowing they haven’t won a soul. They only left when they had half of the city (that’s huge in numbers). Also we see the Apostles on their own couldn’t do anything but they were not alone, GOD was with them thereby granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands. This is what Jesus was saying about faith; with faith, sometimes you don’t need to ask, the faith in you is what will make you heal. Immediately Paul said stand up, he could have doubted or not obey but without thinking twice, he leaped and walked.

@Eyitope The faith part was my first catch when I read the chapter at first glance, and if He can do it for one, He can do it for all!

@Eyitope So I was like why??? when I read the part that’s says those that did not believe are trying to poison those that believe and this is something I normally say to people a lot, that if you don’t believe in something or you believe in something hold on to your belief strongly and don’t mislead others because of whatever you are doing nd the Bible says something about that in (Luke 17:1) that Temptation to innate sure to come but woe to that one through whom they come. I pray that we will not be a distraction(parasite) for others whether knowing or unknowing in Jesus name.

@Eyitope I asked myself how could a man just by looking at someone knew he had faith?? Paul was seeing beyond the physical And the evidence that he truly had faith was him jumping up the moment he asked him to stand on his feet and walk, I was expecting his reaction to be bro I’m lame how am I suppose to walk but instead he jumped up and began to walk.. That’s very powerful.

@Faithful In fact i was like, this sounds like an insult. It is like telling a crippled man to clap his hands. It is just a reminder to me that working miracles require faith and so does receiving it.

I’m so much happy with Paul and Barnabas behavior when people started praising them. Some of us, our pastors and the likes wants the glory, they want to be seen, some of us are Christians because we like it when they call us MOG/WOG not because we’re really a Man of GOD…. Some of us also behave like these people, we worship pastors and run to them every time for miracles forgetting it’s for ALL that believed. It’s good to honor pastors and men of GOD but we should understand that it is not them, they are only vessels, we don’t look at them but GOD in their lives. Paul as a retired persecutor knows how to escape death 😂 maybe GOD allowed him then self to gain experience (just saying ooo 🌝) but do we see how they keep raising soldiers and leaving the place to raise in another city, they were not concerned about the crowd, they had to part or intentions to take reward and they don’t sell false hope because Vs 22 surely tells them that “we must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of GOD” so as believers, that phase is normal, GOD did not forsake you, you will come out stronger and better, don’t stop praying 🤲- this is for me 😞 I pray the Lord helps us all

@Eyitope Paul and Barnabas were so intentionally about that, they would not want to set themselves up. That would probably have been the end of their mission if they gave in and did not rebuke the people. That was same thing that destroyed Herod oo. They’ve seen it happened

@Eyitope Don't stop, those times when you don’t feel like doing them is when you should do them. GOD IS FAITHFUL.

The last part that talked about the apostles going back to the other apostles to give report what happened on their mission highlights the place of accountability as a believer. I realize that everyone of them will always go back to others to tell them what had happened, and I believe testimony as well to stir them up. They will mention how they have healed the number of them that believe and all. One thing about being accountable is that no one really knows it’s between you and God. It’s only God and you that knows if what you are saying is right or not, if the number of people you said you healed is the exact number. He also knows if you do your bible study or not🤣
